Science at
Yogi Beans

Yoga is a science. It is beneficial for the mental and physical health of young people. Our mission is to help kids everywhere grow healthier and happier. To accomplish this, we need to measure it. That's why we partner in research studies to ascentrain the impact of our programs.

The Problem

There is a terrible child and adolescent mental health crisis

Exacerbated by the coronavirus pandemic, this mental health crisis affects millions of young people and their families every day across the U.S. and abroad.

  • Children are diagnosed with mental health conditions at the same rates as adults

  • 80% of children don't get the mental health support they need

  • 50% of lifetime mental illness begins by age 14

  • Suspected suicide attempts were up 51% for girls ages 12 to 17

A total reset is necessary. It is imperative to systemically rethink how children receive and consume wellness education. To truly capture the attention of a child, and impact them for good, requires a powerful experiential and transformational solution.

Our Research

Advancing the field
of children’s wellness

We’re partnering in pre- and post-intervention studies to ascertain the impact of yoga programs on young people. We are also seeking to develop a theoretical framework that associates children’s mental health and well-being to self-regulation processes in order to create a better theoretical understanding of the effects of yoga.
