Lauren, a graduate of Northwestern University in Theatrical Arts, received her Pilates teacher certification in Los Angeles in 2004. Upon moving to New York City, she attained her Yoga Alliance 200-hour teacher certification in 2007, expanding her repertoire of mind-body fitness practice.
Lauren's newest and most personal venture is Yogi Beans, a yoga program for children ages 2 and a half to 10 years old. Lauren carries a passionate interest in children and healthy childhood development. Through the examination of the benefits of yoga on children and enthusiastic feedback from parents, she designed an evolving set of yoga-for-kids’ programs targeted for specific childhood ages. Children are naturally joyous, imaginative and inherently aware of energy around them; yoga helps them maintain these gifts and appreciate their natural mind-body connection.
Incorporating exercise with music and youthful energy in a non-competitive environment, Lauren is so grateful to be able to share her knowledge of yoga with children, who, at the same time, teach her to appreciate the present moment and simple miracles of everyday life.

Yogini Deborah
Deborah, a fitness enthusiast, cannot remember a time in her life when she wasn't participating in some sort of athletic activity. It wasn't until college, however, that she began her journey into yoga. Yoga is unique from other competitive sports in that it offers a healthy work-life balance. Indeed, it helped Deborah deal with the regular stressors of everyday life in a non-competitive way. Yoga practice taught her to remain calm despite any difficulty and to be patient with herself, while improving her flexibility and mind-body awareness. If only she had the opportunity to start her practice at a younger age!
With a love of children and enthusiasm for fitness, it was only a matter of time until she began to share her passion of yoga with kids. Deborah has worked in the children's fitness realm for several years now and is thrilled to add children's yoga to her teaching acumen.
Yogini Lindsey
Lindsey’s yoga journey began on a whim, attending class with a friend. Upon first stepping foot in the asana room, she knew she had found home. Since then, Lindsey has merged her love for theatre arts and yoga, exploring how both enrich the soul. In the summer of 2008, she traveled to Thailand as a volunteer, teaching yoga and theatre at an orphanage on the Burma border. Her time overseas surrounded by loving, caring and yogic children inspired her to seek out similar experiences in New York City. Lindsey believes that yoga has the power to encourage all people - young and old alike - to fully discover the passion, purity and positive potential(s) they have. Lindsey feels blessed to share the gifts of yoga with others!
Yogini Meghan
Meghan took her first yoga class in 1996. Her love of yoga never left and in 2007, she decided to commit her full-time to adult training and certification at Yoga Works. During her 500-hour training, Meghan began to teach children, which subsequently compelled her to take child-training courses with Next Generation Yoga Kids in New York City. Meghan met Lauren and the Yogi Beans family in 2009 and is delighted to be able to continue teaching children and spreading her love of yoga.
Yogini Ambria
Ambria has devoted years to her personal fitness and yoga practice. Growing up, her frequent travels to India introduced her to the bliss of yoga. Ambria is a RYT, certified yoga instructor with a passion for helping people of all ages and backgrounds feel better about themselves, while discovering a holistic approach to health and inner peace. With a M.S. Ed and a NYS certification to teach K-6, she has a genuine love for children. Before Ambria decided to fully commit to teaching yoga, she was an instructor within the NYC Public School system. It was in the school system that she saw how much a simple meditation break before a standardized test can alter students' approaches to a stressful situation. After experiencing and witnessing the true peace that yoga engenders, Ambria aims to share and empower people through the bliss of Yoga!
